A nature center and hospital for injured raptors--eagles, owls, hawks, falcons. Open year-round. A great stop before or after your ranch tour, especially with kids.

The iconic butte that gives our ranch its name and its shadow. The main trail is about 1.7 miles to the summit with panoramic views of the Cascades, the Willamette Valley, and the Coast Range.

We're just south of Eugene proper. Hit the Saturday Market, grab coffee on campus, or browse the restaurants and breweries before heading out to the ranch.

Stay at the Ranch

Our guest house sits one mile from the Ridgeline trail. Wake up to the herd grazing outside your window. It's the kind of quiet that city people forget exists.

Many guests come for a night and leave with a quarter beef reserved. Something about walking the land does that.

Driving Directions

South on Fox Hollow Road. At the point where the Cascade Raptor Center is on your left and the Fox Hollow Trailhead is on your right--that's the beginning of the very short Christensen Road. Drive all the way to the bottom, to the steel gate. Be there a little (5-10 minutes) before your appointment time.
